I have had this coffee pot for a couple of years, and have had enough issues that I'm giving up on it. It leaks, doesn't secure the filter resulting in grounds in the pot, and currently it is brewing coffee as weak as tea. When it works it's great, it just doesn't work great consistently.Customer Review: Beware. Premature failure and basic design flaw.

Purchased this product about a year ago and the electronics are no longer functional. Clock display goes blank and device shuts itself off after just a minute or so.
I was never impressed with the design in the first place as the reservoir holds about the same volume as the carafe, but has an overflow that drains anything over the 12 cup mark. Why is this an issue? If you overfill the reservoir, for example by filling the carafe just slightly over the 12 cup mark, the excess water drains out the back of the coffee maker and all over the counter or whatever surface the coffee maker sits on. The carafe holds well more than 12 cups so it is easy to exceed the 12 cup threshold of the reservoir. The reservoir water level indicator on the front of the coffee maker will show water levels above 12 cups and with room above the 12 cup water level, somewhat implies the reservoir will hold more. In actuality anything over 12 cups is draining out the back. Worst yet, it only trickles out, so the overflow may not be noticed right away.

I received this coffee maker as a gift for my wedding and we loved the way it looked and worked, until two years later and it suddenly broke. The clock still works, but when you try to brew coffee, it's as if a fuse or something blows. Hubby says it's an electrical problem and it's ready for the garbage. Which is sad because Mr. Coffee was always a trusted, reliable name, but I think a seventy dollar coffee pot should last for more than 2 years.Customer Review: Fancy look but doesn't make good coffee

Product looks nice and sleek with the stainless steel top and glow in the dark clock, but doesn't make great coffee. The temperature is never hot enough even when it is set to "HOT". It also started leaking from the back every time I use it. (which is not that often) I would rather pay for a cup of coffee in the neighborhood than use this machine!Customer Review: Poor design and logevity

Our church bought 2 of these units and have been very disappointed with them. The overflow hole will not let the user fill enough water to make a full caraffe. The time delay is confusing and after only a few months use both are inoperable. And this model seems to take longer than the previous model to brew a whole pot. I thought the older design was superior even though the plastic basket sagged after a while.
