This tea maker is great. We drink a lot of tea in my family and this makes it easy. One suggestion is to have two pitchers. This particular model makes it easy to replace a broken pitcher. The only drawback is remembering to open the tea bag holder after 5 minutes when it is done brewing.Customer Review: Third one now

Third one I've owned in the last 8 years or so. We use it all the time, making several gallons a week. I guess that means they tend to last about 4 or 5 years before needing to be replaced at the rate we use them.
We still have the pitchers from the last two (they haven't leaked as others have had the misfortune of reporting) and we also haven't had trouble cleaning it.

For those who don't know, this is just like a coffee maker with a bigger container. Works just about the same; heats the cold water to just above steaming and delivers it slowly over the "tea". This has a three-quart container and you add ice too cool the hot tea as it comes out. I got the "replacement" container so that I would not have to add ice. I have one always in the refrigerator cold and the second that is getting cool overnight. I'm not overly excited about the quality, but it is functional.Customer Review: Tea with Ease

I had the 2-quart model for at least six years, then bought the "other" (triangular) Mr. Coffee 3-qt. model. Do NOT buy the other 3-quart model. I threw it away and bought this one, and I'm extremely happy with it. The spout is drip-proof (not with the other model, where the tea gushes out all over the place when you try to pour while there is still ice present in the pitcher); the component parts fit better together (with the other model, if they are not "just right", you'll have your ice tea all over your counter and dripping down your cabinets instead of into the pitcher); It makes ice tea faster than the other model, and it tastes perfect. In fact, I get a lot of compliments for my ice tea (using Tetley British Blend tea bags), which I make without sugar. That's because I have diabetic friends who want Splenda, and a couple who prefer it unsweetened with just a slice of lemon. One insists on honey. I like it plain with no sweetener. No matter, you will always get a perfect glass of ice tea with the TM3-2.Customer Review: Excellent Product!!

I purchased this item about a month ago and have had nothing but great results. The ice tea maker is very easy to use and makes tea very quick. We have made one 3qt pitcher everyday since we recieved it and have had no problems with leaking of any kind. The only downfall on this item (and it's really not a big deal) is that the 3 qt pitcher is not dish washer safe. Other than that, I am very happy that we purchased this item. Well worth the money spent.
